User research in the classroom, mentoring in user interface design, and usability testing workshop

Concord Consortium brought us in to collaborate with them on the redesign of their RITES ITSI-SU teacher and student Portal. We did in-person and remote interviews with middle and high school teachers to learn how they currently used this product in their classroom. Once the user research was complete, we worked with the Concord Consortium development team on taking the insights from our user research and applying them to the redesign of the Portal’s user interface. During the design process we ran iterative remote user studies with RITES and ITSI-SU teachers to gather feedback on the proposed design. When this project was finished, we delivered a one-day hands-on workshop in usability testing techniques to a larger group of Concord Consortium staff, to equip them with the skills they need to run in-house studies.
