Usability Research for Unified Communications

High Start Group brought us in to do in-depth interviews, site visits and remote and lab-based usability tests on the AT&T Unified Communications product. Our research activities focused on how mobile employees within small and medium-sized businesses use real-time communication tools such as smart phones and iPad for IM, SMS, group calendars, contact lists, presence, and Web conferencing to collaborate with their co-workers.

We've worked with them for several years on many qualitative & usability studies with mobile workers from a wide range of industries and contexts. Our research results helped the High Start and AT&T teams understand how the product design could be maximized so users stay connected and effective as they shift from their desktop, laptop, iPad, and smart phone.
